Book Sale at the Flea Market
September 28, 2021
The Friends of the Harvard Public Library will be selling books at the Harvard Flea Market on Saturday, October 9!
Did you know that 95% of children's programs at the HPL are sponsored by the Friends of the HPL? Yes - 95%!!!
Traditionally, the Friends' Annual May Book Sale has been their largest fundraising event, but, due to the pandemic, their last book sale was in May of 2019.
There are three ways you can help!
1) Donate books for the book sale. Drop off book donations outside the HPL on Saturday, October 2 from 9:00 to Noon (rain date for donations is Sunday, October 3). Please observe these guidelines when donating: Books, DVDs, and CDs in good condition. No encyclopedias, magazines, Reader's Digest books, VCR tapes, or damaged or moldy books.
2) Attend the Flea Market and purchase books from the Friends Book Sale, which will be located under the large tent in front of the library. The Harvard Flea Market is scheduled for Saturday, October 9 (Flea Market rain date is October 10). More information about the Harvard Flea Market is available here.
3) Volunteer to assist the Friends with book sale collection, setup, or during the book sale. Send an email to childrensroom@harvardpubliclibrary.org if you are interested in volunteering, and we will forward your email on to the Friends!
