Obtaining a Library Card
It’s easy! Please call the library at 978-456-4114 when we are open or email us at reference@harvardpubliclibrary.org. An online application will be emailed to you.
Or, just come to the library and fill out an application with your name, address, and telephone number. You will need to provide a picture ID and proof of current address. Applicants must be at least 5 years old and a parent or guardian must co-sign the application for children under 12 years old.
The card gives you access to library materials in the Harvard Public Library and in the C/W MARS network, as well as HPL online resources, and museum passes. There is no waiting time and it’s free!
Lost Your Card?
There is no fee for getting a replacement. Lost library cards should be reported immediately since you are responsible for all materials borrowed on your library card.
