The Harvard League of Women Voters donated 30 books to Harvard Public Library in recognition of the 100th anniversary of women earning the right to vote. The LWV purchased books from a local bookstore to enhance the HPL’s collection of books about the fight for women’s suffrage. These books include children’s stories about real life women, young adult biographies that will be used to enhance the 8th grade curriculum, and adult history books.
A complete list of the books with descriptions and catalog links can be found on the Library's Reader Resources page.

A bit of trivia: August 26th marked the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment with Tennessee casting the deciding vote for ratification.
