Afterschool Movie Supervisors
Book Buddies Volunteers
Bromfield Movie Volunteers
The library runs movies for Bromfield students on select days after school. Volunteers help with snack prep, sign students in, and clean up. Jill Hayes is the contact.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 10 to 12.
Craft Programs
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 7 to 12; select weekdays from 3:00 to 4:45 PM.
Game Hour Supervisors
GraviTrax Challenge Supervisors
GraviTrax challenge is a building program for elementary aged children. Supervise children ages 8 and up and establish a calm, fun, creative building atmosphere.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 7-12; select weekdays from 3:15 to 4:45 PM.
LEGO Club Supervisor
LEGO Club is scheduled for one Saturday afternoon a month through the school year. Supervise children ages 5 and up and establish a calm, fun, creative building atmosphere.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 7-12; scheduled Saturdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
Maker Day & Treat Workshop Volunteers
Volunteers assist the teen librarian with set up, clean up, and supervise younger teens with crafts at various makers stations and with treat workshops. Jill Hayes is the contact.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 10 to 12; select weekdays from 2:45 to 4:30 PM.
Movie Night Volunteers
Family Movie Night are held one Friday a month during the school year (Thursdays in the summer). Volunteers help with set-up, snack preparation, and clean-up.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 6 to 12. Arrive at 6:00 PM and stay through clean-up after movie.
Saturday Storytime Volunteers
Once or twice a month, the library runs a Saturday Storytime where teens read to children ages 3 to 7 and their parents.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 7 to 12; scheduled Saturdays from 10:15 to 11:15 AM.
Sensory Playtime Volunteers
Sensory Playtime is a program for young children and their parents. Volunteers provide orientation to parents and help with set-up and clean-up (this is a messy program).
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 7 to 12; scheduled Saturdays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.
Senior Projects
If you would like to do your Bromfield Senior Project through the library, please meet with Abby Kingsbury or Jill Hayes to determine feasibility and to map out a plan for the project.
Special Programs Volunteers
The library runs many special programs throughout the year which require volunteer assistance. These programs include the Ice Cream Social, the Lego Expo, etc.
Requirements: Harvard resident/Bromfield student in grades 6 to 12.
